Rosebud Feeders is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined Feed Truck Driver / Feedlot Equipment Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is operating a feed truck to deliver feed accurately and efficiently to multiple cattle lots throughout the feedyard.

When not operating the feed truck, the successful applicant will assist with other feedlot operations, including operating skid steers, wheel loaders, tractors, and other equipment. A strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are important, as this role will also assist with the meticulous servicing, maintenance, and care of feedlot equipment to ensure machinery remains clean, reliable, and in excellent working condition.

Responsibilities

- Operate a feed truck to deliver feed to designated cattle lots according to established feeding schedules.
- Ensure the correct ration and quantity of feed is delivered to each lot as instructed.
- Adhere to strict feeding schedules and ensure feed is delivered accurately and on time.
- Operate skid steers, wheel loaders, tractors, and other feedlot equipment when not running the feed truck.
- Assist with general feedlot duties and equipment operation as required.
- Perform regular inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance on feed trucks and other equipment.
- Meticulously maintain and service equipment, including checking oil, fluids, tires, grease points, filters, and other components to help prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Keep feed trucks, equipment,



and work areas clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Maintain accurate feeding, servicing, and maintenance records.
- Identify and promptly communicate equipment issues, feeding discrepancies, or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating practices.
- Assist with general maintenance and other feedlot duties as needed.

Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Previous experience operating a feed truck, wheel loader, skid steer, tractor, or similar agricultural/heavy equipment.
- Comfortable and confident operating multiple types of equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing and maintaining farm or heavy equipment.
- Detail-oriented approach to equipment care, preventative maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Comfortable working around cattle in a feedlot environment.
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance, servicing, and safety checks.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour when required.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Accommodation A three-bedroom bunkhouse is available to the successful applicant, providing an in office housing option if required. Wage: Based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
