At this moment, we need a Field Service Technician to cover the province of British Columbia.

Accountability

- Install and repair machines and accessories at customer site. Provide Technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:

- Proactively attains a safe and healthy work setting for all employees
- Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
- Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
- Train customers on functions of the machines
- Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
- Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed
- Travel is required.



Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.
- Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.…

Education/Certification

- 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly
- 5-7 years of experience in Field Service
- Technical Trades Diploma or equivalent experience

Skills

- Read/understand engineering drawings
- Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks
- Ability to understand PLC
- Hydraulic /Pneumatic circuits
- General computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.
- Ability to problem solve depending on situation.
- Sound writing and reporting skills.
- Strong client service skills.
