Location: Lethbridge, AB

Position: Financial Service Associate 2, Full-Time Westgate The Financial Service Associate 2 role supports the overall frontline operations of the branch. This position will hold supervisory responsibilities which includes administrative duties, supporting Financial Service Associates, and servicing the client members with their financial transactions and inquiries.

What You’ll Do:

Engage and deliver the 1st Choice Savings brand promise by delivering consistent brand experience to members:

- Assist with the banking floor operations including but not limited to: cash management, cash balancing, and inventory and securities management.
- Ensure that compliance and security requirements are completed and that staff adheres to credit union and AML policy and procedures to mitigate risk or losses.
- Assist staff with any questions, processes, operations while encouraging a learning environment for future development.
- Be a positive influence and supporter of change by adopting and implementing change empowerment tactics.




- Promote and monitor the level of member service provided by all employees using the service model of “these opportunities” would not exist if you didn’t have those members.
- Fill in when and where required to reduce impact to member service which include the reception desk and other branch operation areas.
- Assist in ensuring adequate coverage at all times which includes break coverage, vacation coverage, times of shortage of staff, and peak hours.

Who You Are:

- Highly organized with an incredible ability to prioritize and adapt to a faced paced environment.
- 2+ years of experience in small business banking or financial services.
- 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- 2 years of cash handling and sales experience.
- Strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Strong ability to motivate and attain positive results from colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills within a team environment.
- Post secondary education in a related field would be an asset.
