The Role
As our Financial Services Manager, you will be the crucial bridge between our sales team, our customers, and our lending partners. You will guide customers through the final steps of their vehicle purchase, ensuring they understand their financing and leasing options while presenting valuable aftermarket products that protect their investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Guidance: Review credit applications, secure financing or leasing terms, and clearly explain all financial details to the customer. This includes insurance and vehicle licensing process.
- Product Sales: Present and sell aftermarket products, including extended warranties, gap insurance, rust protection, and maintenance packages, tailored to the customer's needs.
- Lender Relations: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with various financial institutions and lenders to secure competitive rates and approvals.
- Paperwork & Compliance: Accurately prepare, review, and process all vehicle purchase/lease agreements, bill of sale, and registry documents. Ensure 100% compliance with OMVIC regulations and dealership policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Managers and Sales Representatives to ensure a seamless, high-quality transition from the sales floor to the finance office.
- Performance: Meet or exceed monthly targets for financing penetrations, product sales, and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as an Automotive Financial Services Manager is highly preferred, though top-performing Automotive Sales Representatives looking to take the next step will be considered.
- Certification: Valid OMVIC License in good standing is mandatory.
- Knowledge: Robust understanding of auto finance, leasing, lender portals, and dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, OneEighty, RouteOne, DealerTrack).
- Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in handling complex paperwork and financial calculations.
- Drive: Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced retail environment.
