We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fitter/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex metal fabrication projects, utilizing your welding expertise and mechanical skills to produce precise, durable components. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join metal components with precision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment such as press brake machines for shaping and assembling materials.
- Conduct plasma cutting and operate cranes or forklifts for material handling and positioning.
- Measure dimensions accurately measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
- Rigging and assembly of structural components according to schematics and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to health and safety regulations throughout all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, including MIG and TIG processes.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, machining, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and hand tools.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Construction or manufacturing experience preferred; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, rigging, and equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
