About the Position

Axius Logistics is looking for an organized and highly detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to help manage the maintenance, servicing, documentation, and overall readiness of our fleet.

This is not simply a desk position. You will communicate with drivers, mechanics, repair shops, and the operations team while keeping track of maintenance schedules, outstanding repairs, inspections, documentation, and vehicle availability.

A major part of this role is follow-up. We need someone who doesn't wait for a maintenance issue to become an emergency before taking action.

What You'll Be Doing

- Monitor the maintenance requirements and condition of company trucks, trailers, vehicles, and equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs.
- Track oil changes, service intervals, inspections, outstanding repairs, and upcoming maintenance.
- Follow up with drivers regarding reported defects and vehicle concerns.
- Communicate with mechanics, dealerships, repair shops, towing companies, and other service providers.
- Follow vehicles through the repair process until work is completed.
- Maintain accurate digital records for fleet maintenance and repairs.
- Review and organize repair estimates, invoices, service reports, and related documentation.
- Update fleet-management and maintenance software.
- Communicate vehicle availability and maintenance status to dispatch and management.
- Assist with coordinating roadside repairs and unexpected breakdowns.
- Help identify recurring maintenance problems and prevent avoidable downtime.

- Understand that preventive maintenance is just as significant as repairing something after it breaks.

Requirements

Must Have:

- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to learn and use different fleet and maintenance software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site at our Mississauga location.
- Availability Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Nice to Have:

- Previous experience with trucks, trailers, fleet operations, automotive service, or transportation.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance.
- Experience coordinating repairs with mechanics or service providers.
- Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience.
- Experience with fleet or maintenance-management software.
- Mechanical knowledge or relevant training.
- Post-secondary education.
- Ability to speak more than one language.

Multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Formal education is not required. Mechanical training, certifications, or relevant education are considered assets.
