Position: Food Service Supervisor

Peg’s Bistro in Winnipeg is looking for a reliable and motivated Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will help oversee daily food service operations, support and supervise staff, maintain food quality and safety standards, and ensure customers receive excellent service.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff
- Assign duties and prepare work schedules
- Train new employees in job duties, food safety, and restaurant procedures
- Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently maintained
- Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant
- Ensure proper food handling and workplace safety procedures are followed
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food, beverages, and supplies
- Help resolve customer concerns professionally
- Assist management with smooth day-to-day restaurant operations
- Maintain records related to inventory, waste, and daily operations
- Support the team during busy service periods as required

Qualifications




- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality is preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized, and punctual
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
