Role Description The Forklift Operator is a full-time, in office role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for safely handling and moving building materials within the warehouse and yard. Day-to-day tasks include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, organizing inventory, and staging materials for delivery and pickup. The role involves assisting with shipping and receiving, checking orders against documentation, and ensuring products are packed and stored correctly to prevent damage.

The Forklift

Operator will work closely with warehouse and dispatch teams to support accurate, on-time order fulfillment, while adhering to safety policies and maintaining a clean,



organized work area. This position may require working in varying weather conditions and handling moderately heavy materials.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Forklift Operation skills, with a valid certification or demonstrated experience operating industrial forklifts.
- Candidates should possess Shipping & Receiving skills, including verifying documentation, tracking inventory, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Candidates should possess Material Handling skills, including safe lifting, moving, and organizing construction materials in warehouse and yard settings.
- Candidates should possess Unloading and Packing skills to efficiently load/unload trucks and securely pack products to minimize damage.
- Knowledge of construction materials (e.g., drywall, insulation, stucco, steel studs) is beneficial.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, lumber yard, or building supplies environment is an asset.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials in line with workplace safety guidelines.
