Job Summary We're on a mission to build the relationship-focused bank of the future, and we're looking for passionate collaborators, innovators, advisors, and leaders who can get us there. Our distinct culture is built on a shared commitment to do what's right for our clients, our people, and our communities, and we strive for excellence in everything we do. Because life here is not only what you do, but how you do it.

As a French Editor , you're responsible for coordinating translations from external agencies, and reviewing, editing, and proofreading marketing content for the client's website, mobile apps, online banking, and other digital platforms. You'll review and edit English-to-French translations for accuracy, consistency, tone, typography, and grammar. Occasionally, you'll also translate copy directly.

You'll spend most of your time working within an Agile marketing framework to deliver accurate and concise French content. You'll regularly contribute to the French editorial process by helping create and maintain French editorial standards, ensuring fully optimized copy while maintaining a consistent voice and tone. You'll also use SEO tactics (developed by the Digital team) to drive traffic, and accessibility best practices to ensure pages are inclusive for all users.

We're looking for someone who's detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, and has exceptional interpersonal skills. If you're a self-motivated professional with experience in translation, editing, and content management, we want to hear from you.

The main function of the role is to translate written or spoken materials from one language to another, supporting marketing campaign pods within a digital publishing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Listen to, understand, and translate spoken or written statements from one language to another.
- Facilitate effective communication by converting one spoken/written language to another.
- Relay concepts and ideas between languages.
- Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language.
- Adapt a product or service for use in a different language and culture.

How You'll Succeed

- Proficient in native French: Bring extensive knowledge of the French language backed by a degree in translation or equivalent work experience; demonstrate strong terminology research skills, awareness of French-Canadian nuances, and good working knowledge of translation software such as Trados, MemoQ, and Antidote, terminology databases such as Termium,

as well as Office Québécois de la langue Française (OQLF) standards.
- Maintain French alignment: Proofread and edit new content, ensuring accuracy and adherence to editorial standards as well as those of the OQLF; ensure content from vendors, clients, and external partners is accurate and meets organizational standards and best practices.
- Effectively manage translation: Be highly detail- and process-oriented; manage translation requests in a timely and cost-effective manner, working cooperatively with partners and vendors.
- Take initiative: Juggle multiple priorities with tight deadlines; proactively resolve complexities and ambiguities that arise on projects; use excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills to champion the French translation discipline and its nuances.

Who You Are

- You're digitally savvy — you seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies, and can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
- Values matter to you — you bring your real self to work and live the values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.
- You act like an owner — you thrive when empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results.
- You understand that success is in the details — you notice things that others don't, and your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
- You put clients first — you engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
- You go the extra mile, because it's the right thing to do — you're driven by collective success, know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one, and understand the power of an inclusive team that enjoys working together to bring a shared vision to life.
