Pastaggio is an artisan fresh pasta and premium catering company based out of Coho Commissary located at 1370 E Georgia Street, Vancouver. We make a variety of fresh pastas, sauces, sourdough focaccia & artisan bread, desserts and ready to bake meals.

We supply for retail, restaurants & sell direct to our customers at 4-6 farmers’ markets a week during spring/summer and at other special events. We also have a growing catering division and a new food truck that requires freshly baked artisan breads, pastries & other dessert.

We are looking for an Full Time Baker 3 years minimum experience in a commercial kitchen/bakery required. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN: mixing, shaping, rolling, baking artisan breads, pastry.

Must be available to work early morning's or overnight if preferred.

Shifts as follows: generally start 4am or 5am

- 8-10 hour shift
- Holidays
- Overtime
- Weekends

The position is suited for someone who:
- HAS 3 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN A PROFESSIONAL, COMMERCIAL BAKERY.
- Will embody and exemplify the Pastaggio brand with a positive attitude, creativity, strong work ethic & attention to detail, ability to multi task
- Food focused, loves to bake and the craft
- Punctual, reliable & flexible in a busy kitchen work environment




- Outstanding communication and problem solving skills
- Can stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
- Able to lift up to 20kg, crouch, bend, the roll is very physical lifting heavy bags of flour, mixing heavy dough, portioning big quantities of dough.
- Food Safe certificate preferred
- Baking experience preferred
- Capable of getting to work for an overnight shift

Job Type: Full-time Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Salary: $24 - $26 per hour

- Casual / kitchen attire / non slip shoes

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
- Food Safe Certification

Experience:
- Commercial kitchen experience required
- 3 years professional baking experience is REQUIRED.

Work Location: In person Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
