Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full Time Exercise Leader specializing in Cardiac Rehabilitation to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for promoting cardiovascular health through structured exercise programs, demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills. In this role, you will lead supervised exercise sessions tailored to individuals recovering from cardiac events, ensuring safety, motivation, and effective patient engagement.

Your expertise will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes and fostering a supportive environment for recovery and wellness.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement personalized exercise programs aligned with each patient's medical condition and rehabilitation goals.
- Lead engaging and safe exercise sessions, providing clear instructions and demonstrations to participants.
- Monitor patient responses during exercise, adjusting activities as needed to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Educate patients on the importance of lifestyle modifications, including physical activity, nutrition, and stress management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, attendance, and program adherence in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, physiotherapists, and dietitians to optimize patient care plans.




- Foster a motivating environment that encourages patient participation, confidence, and long-term commitment to health.
- Communicate effectively with bilingual (English/French) participants to accommodate diverse language needs.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in exercise leadership within cardiac rehabilitation or related healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular health, exercise physiology, and safety protocols for at-risk populations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable; fluency in both languages is preferred.
- Excellent teaching abilities with the capacity to communicate complex concepts clearly and compassionately.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage diverse patient populations effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate individuals and work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with effective time management to coordinate multiple sessions and documentation requirements.
- Certification in fitness training or cardiac rehabilitation (e.g., ACSM, ACE) is preferred but not mandatory.
