We are a small Hong Kong-style café in Waterloo looking for an experienced and reliable Kitchen Cook / Line Cook to join our 2-person kitchen team.

Responsibilities

- Food preparation and portioning
- Meat marination and sauce preparation
- Vegetable preparation
- Cooking and order preparation during service
- Maintaining consistent food quality, portion size and presentation
- Dishwashing using a commercial dishwasher
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, equipment and workstations
- Restocking and organizing ingredients
- Following recipes, food safety and kitchen procedures
- Working closely with the other kitchen team member during busy periods

What we’re looking for

- Previous restaurant/kitchen experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced kitchen




- Able to handle different kitchen tasks rather than only one station
- Fast, organized and clean
- Valuable attention to portion, presentation and consistency
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team

Important

This is a 2-person kitchen, so both team members share prep and service responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being hands-on and helping wherever needed during busy periods.

Staff meal provided.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
