Duties
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing to ensure accuracy and safety
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration procedures
- Maintain organized pharmacy inventory, including stock replenishment and expiration date checks
- Process prescriptions efficiently using medical terminology and pharmacy software systems
- Support hospital-based pharmacy operations by coordinating with healthcare professionals and managing patient medication records
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper handling of medications and documentation of transactions
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer general health-related inquiries
- Commitment to the position for a minimum of 2 years
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospital or healthcare settings is highly preferred
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is advantageous
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration processes
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
- Certification or training related to pharmacy practice or medical assistance is desirable
