Successful Candidate Responsibilities

- Junior High Generalist

The successful candidate must:

- have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- have successful Junior High teaching experience
- experience and knowledge of best practices in primary education
- have classroom practice that is focused on:
- a student-centered approach to instruction and teacher-student relationships
- effective organization/classroom management
- collegial collaboration, literacy and numeracy programming, support and intervention
- balanced literacy and guided mathematics framework
- Inclusive Education practices, demonstrating a commitment to student achievement through a focus on curriculum-instruction-assessment and the Teaching Quality Standard
- the domains of the NGPS Quality Learning Environment (QLE)
- facilitating the application of a variety of technologies to support learning for all students
- diversity and broadening students' knowledge of First Nation, Metis and Inuit




- robust and effective communication with parents and the community
- have school practice that is focused on:
- working with school administration to support the SAP
- a commitment to student achievement and success through the Collaborative Team Meeting (CTM) process
- working with school team to enhance staff wellness, and team development and spirit, and
- outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Start Date

- Duties will commence on August 25, 2026 or as mutually agreed upon
