Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Fundraising Associate to join our team in the Victoria Capital Region! In this vital role, you will support our fundraising efforts by managing donor databases, conducting research on prospective supporters, and assisting with marketing campaigns to engage our community. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help us expand our reach and deepen our impact in empowering youth to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update donor database Donor Perfect
- Conduct research on prospective donors, foundations, and corporate partners to identify new funding opportunities
- Grow the annual and monthly donors and provide robust stewardship of current and gain recent donors through our existing campaigns
- Assist in developing and executing scalable fundraising campaigns and events
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to donor inquiries and maintaining positive relationships with supporters
- Collaborate with team members to plan and coordinate fundraising events that engage the community and increase donations
- Track campaign performance metrics and prepare reports to evaluate fundraising progress and inform future strategies
- Create with the ED a reasonable and achievable fundraising plan with goals and targets that help us meet our strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Experience working with databases such as Donor Perfect or similar CRM systems is highly preferred
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify potential donors and funding sources
- Knowledge of marketing principles, including social media, email campaigns, and outreach strategies
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with fundraising best practices and ethical standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously
