Reporting to the Load Cel supervisor, the Load Cell Gaging Technician is responsible for the gaging and assembly of the Strain Gage Products and takes full responsibility for the quality of their own work.
Gaging (bonding or applying electrical-resistance strain gages to the metal body (flexure) of the load cell so it can measure weight or force) of various load cell configurations using schematics and assembly procedures.
Re gaging of customer returned goods
Cleaning of load cell after operations (fluxes, residues, etc.) as per procedures
Recording of work completed, using prescribed forms as required
Sandblast small load cells for gaging (D, DB, PT, CLC) type
Safe handling and operation of all required tools and chemicals
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Maintain gaging equipment to ensure they operate secure and well,
and alert the supervisor as soon as repairs or scheduled maintenance is required
Follow all company policies and procedures
Other duties appropriate to this position
Qualification
Must be able to work from schematics, wiring diagrams and written procedures. Must have good hand-eye coordination
Good hand soldering skills required
Must be able to work from written procedures.
Take initiative to complete all assignments.
Perform duties without direct and constant supervision.
Responsible care and operation of equipment that will prevent damage or excessive wear.
Have good manual dexterity.
