Bill Stewart’s Scrap Metal & Enviro Depot has proudly served the New Glasgow community for over 70 years. We recycle a wide range of metals, appliances, vehicles, and household items, and are known for our friendly service, convenient location, and commitment to environmentally responsible practices, along with accepting all sorts of recyclables to process. We are currently seeking an energetic and safety minded general laborer to join our team based in New Glasgow.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment
- Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage
- Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.
- Accurately label and tag products




- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Upkeeping safety procedures
- Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management
- Other labor duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience of heavy lifting general labour an asset
- Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently
- Must be comfortable wearing full PPE while on shift
- Safety driven mindset
- Clear communication skills
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturdays as needed Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
