Posner Metals is a family-owned, Hamilton-based scrap metal recycling company that has been serving the community since 1965. As one of Canada’s established leaders in ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling, we purchase, process, and recycle a wide range of scrap materials from both the public and industrial customers.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our scrap metal team. This position involves sorting non-ferrous metals, assisting customers with their material, and helping maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

- Sort and identify non-ferrous scrap metals
- Assist customers with unloading, sorting, and identifying their material
- Load, unload, move, and organize scrap materials as required
- Maintain a clean, protected, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform general labor and other duties as assigned
- Work effectively as part of a team in a busy scrap metal yard

Qualifications




- Previous experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry is an asset
- Forklift operating experience is preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving materials
- Comfortable working outdoors in both warm and cold weather
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn about different types of scrap metal
