General Manager – Canadian Operations

Salary: $91,000–$128,000 CAD annually, based on experience

Travel: Approximately 50%

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established organization to recruit an experienced General Manager to oversee operations across multiple Canadian locations for an automotive based company.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an operationally focused leader who is comfortable managing geographically dispersed teams, owning financial performance, and travelling regularly to support facilities across Canada.

The successful candidate will have direct ownership of their P&L; and will be accountable for operational performance, revenue growth, cost management, customer satisfaction, team development, and consistent execution of company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide leadership and operational oversight across assigned Canadian locations
- Take full ownership of the assigned P&L; , identifying opportunities to increase revenue, manage costs, and improve overall financial performance
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold management teams accountable for operational results
- Partner with HR to attract, recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Establish performance goals and ensure teams consistently meet operational and productivity expectations
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities and develop a strong understanding of both office and field operations
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve performance
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Ensure locations operate in accordance with applicable company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards
- Identify skill and knowledge gaps within teams and implement appropriate training and development plans




- Lead teams effectively through organizational and operational change
- Communicate company goals, expectations, and initiatives clearly across all levels of the organization
- Travel to assigned locations to provide leadership, operational support, and performance oversight

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2–3 years of management experience , with progressive operational leadership experience preferred
- Fluency in both French and English is required , including the ability to conduct meetings and communicate effectively in both languages
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L; and financial performance
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence and achieve corporate performance goals
- Strong understanding of performance metrics and experience leading metric-driven operations
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations or geographically dispersed operations is strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and performance-management capabilities
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Solid sense of urgency and accountability
- Valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% , with travel primarily supporting Canadian operations

- Base Salary: $91,000–$128,000 CAD, depending on experience
