General Labourer – Manufacturing Shop

Location: Hamilton, ON

Pay: $22.00–$26.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Some Saturdays and overtime may be required.

Rangeview Fabricating Inc. is an established metal fabrication and manufacturing company located in Hamilton, Ontario. For over 25 years, we have specialized in custom and production welding, bending, shearing, punching, notching, rolling, and general fabrication.

We are currently looking for a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team.

This is a versatile shop position. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to work in different areas of the shop depending on daily production needs. The successful candidate may assist with material preparation, assembly, finishing, shipping, cleanup, and other general manufacturing duties.

Responsibilities

- Work in different areas of the shop as required, including the prep, welding, assembly, wood, and shipping areas
- Prepare steel products for painting using grinders, buffers, and solvent cleaning
- Grind, deburr, clean, and finish fabricated parts
- Assist welders and machine operators with material and part preparation
- Assemble parts and components
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Move and organize materials throughout the shop
- Prepare finished products for packaging and shipping
- Load and unload materials as required
- Perform repetitive production tasks




- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company procedures and health and safety requirements
- Assist in other areas of production when additional help is required
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Shop Supervisor

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or shop environment is an asset
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Experience with grinders and buffers is an asset
- Experience using drills, skill saws, table saws, and similar equipment is an asset
- Forklift experience or licence is an asset
- WHMIS training is an asset
- Able to repeatedly lift and move materials throughout the workday
- Comfortable performing physical and repetitive work
- Willing to learn new tasks and work in different areas of the shop
