Required: General Machinist Certificate
Tangibles Ltd. is a well-established plastics manufacturing company looking for an experienced General Machinist to manufacture, repair and maintain extrusion dies, tooling, jigs and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses and saws.
- Manufacture and repair tooling to close tolerances.
- Read drawings and accurately measure components.
- Troubleshoot and modify tooling to support production.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Work independently and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- General Machinist Certificate.
- Strong manual machining experience.
- Experience working to close tolerances.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Reliable,
detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- EDM and/or extrusion tooling experience is an asset.
