Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Goldsmith / Jewelry Repair Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with gold and fine jewelry and will demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship, precision, attention to detail, and professionalism.
This position is intended for an experienced candidate who is confident performing jewelry repairs, working with precious metals, and completing jewelry fabrication and finishing work to a professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional repairs on gold and fine jewelry
- Repair broken chains, clasps, rings, bracelets, pendants, and other jewelry
- Resize and repair rings
- Perform soldering and other precision goldsmith work
- Fabricate, assemble, modify, and restore jewelry
- Work with gold and other precious metals safely and accurately
- Polish, clean, refinish, and prepare completed jewelry for customers
- Identify damaged or worn components and recommend appropriate repairs
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality control
- Handle customer jewelry and valuable materials with care and accountability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Properly use and maintain goldsmithing tools and equipment
- Complete assigned work accurately and within reasonable timelines
Qualifications Experience is required for this position.
Candidates should have
- Previous professional experience as a goldsmith, bench jeweler, jewelry repair technician, or similar role
- Demonstrated experience repairing gold jewelry
- Experience manufacturing, modifying, or creating jewelry
- Strong soldering, finishing, polishing, and repair skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and complete precision work
- Robust understanding of proper jewelry-handling procedures
- Reliability, professionalism, honesty, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to carefully handle high-value merchandise and customer property
Experience with stone setting, custom jewelry fabrication, laser welding, engraving, or additional jewelry manufacturing techniques is considered an asset. Interview & Practical Skills Assessment
Qualified applicants will be invited to an in-person interview.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to complete a practical goldsmithing skills assessment to demonstrate their abilities. The assessment may include tasks involving:
- Gold jewelry repair
- Soldering and joining
- Ring or chain repair
- Jewelry fabrication or modification
- Polishing and finishing
- General bench-goldsmith techniques
The practical assessment is intended to evaluate the candidate’s craftsmanship, precision, technical ability, attention to detail, and safe use of goldsmithing tools and equipment.
Screening Requirements
Candidates who successfully progress through the interview and practical assessment process will be required to provide a criminal record check issued through the RCMP or other accepted police authority, where applicable, as part of the pre-employment screening process.
Employment will be subject to successfully completing all required hiring and screening procedures.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
