Our client, a leading transportation and logistics organization servicing the East Coast, is seeking a Transportion Dispatcher to join their team. As a Transportion Dispatcher, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the transportation team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Transportion Dispatcher

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

What's the Job?

- Coordinate daily driver schedules, pickups, deliveries, and container movements.
- Communicate with drivers regarding assignments, schedules, delays, and operational changes.
- Monitor the status of shipments and proactively address delays or service issues.
- Coordinate with customers and internal departments to ensure service requirements are met.




- Enter and maintain accurate information in the transportation management system.

What's Needed?

- Previous dispatch or transportation experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with computers and transportation management systems is an asset.
