Job Description
Customer
- Develop new solutions for engineering programs and projects within assigned area
- Develop recent features and perform unit/component testing for application initiatives aligned to business needs and architecture standards
- Support business inquiries and activities through small enhancements and break/fix implementations (e.g., source code changes); may also conduct peer code reviews
- Work with technology partners to ensure configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals
- Analyze technical requirements to recommend engineering solutions; may be involved in coding/story estimates
- Collaborate with stakeholders and internal partners to meet technical direction, requirements, performance, time‑to‑market, and innovation goals
- Monitor product lifecycles, ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives, and undertake redevelopment when required
- Document and verify system components, applications, infrastructure, security, integration, operability, and architecture designs for a program or project
- Participate in quality management reviews, including design, prototype, and other requirement reviews
- Create and maintain quality code, ensuring defect‑free programming consistent with standards; provide maintenance and support during testing and post‑production deployment, and review peer coding
- Provide technical expertise during incident management, analyze incident reports and outages, perform impact assessments, and facilitate communication throughout resolution
- Participate in identifying and recommending development/testing solutions and tools to support project objectives
- Assist in developing/maintaining processes for issue prevention and participate in problem determination and timely incident resolution with appropriate quality measures

- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies for software engineering activities
- Ensure policies and practices meet business needs, comply with internal and external requirements, and align with priorities
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to shift from defect detection to proactive prevention
- Support continuous improvement and automation opportunities within the engineering practice
- Conduct meaningful analysis at functional or enterprise level to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and assess effectiveness of programs, policies, or practices
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities, provide recommendations, and deliver strategic solutions to support effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience
- Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with quality, standards, reusability, and maintainability; support operational readiness reviews and gating/sign‑offs for solution design
- Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency, and implement continuous process or performance improvements
- Lead or facilitate remediation plans to address performance, risk, or governance issues
- Manage relationships across business lines and control functions to align with enterprise and regulatory requirements
- Protect organizational interests by identifying risks and escalating non‑standard, high‑risk activities
- Stay updated on emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control supported by effective processes aligned with risk appetite

- Perform complex technical tasks independently
- Advanced knowledge of technology, tools, programming languages, and procedures
- Develop program specifications; adapt, integrate, code, test, and debug programs; and execute their implementation
- Use existing procedures to solve routine problems; make limited exceptions
- Generally report to a Practice Lead
Experience and / or Education
- Undergraduate, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate
- Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
