Graphic Design Assistant (Subcontractor)

This position supports is heavily focused in website design, producing private label food packaging, social media content, along with the sales and marketing materials needed to bring those products to market — with all work reviewed and approved by the lead designer before finalization.

A strong candidate is someone who is technically sharp, keeps up with evolving tools and platforms, and can manage multiple projects and product information simultaneously.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Create & design from scratch websites specifically using WordPress, GoDaddy, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Draft label artwork to FDA / CFIA standards for review and approval
- Create sales materials (sell sheets, catalogues) under direction of lead designer
- Help produce social media content; identify relevant trends, holidays, and festivals for timely posts
- Assist in video production and product photoshoots for social media
- Documentation, filing, and printing of label and digital files
- Assist with broader marketing initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications:

- Experience building websites using one or more of WordPress, GoDaddy, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP




- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field — or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong eye for design, aesthetics, and current visual trends
- Some experience in print and label design
- Comfortable with social media platforms and contemporary content formats
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and Microsoft Office
- Technically adaptable — expected to learn and adopt current software as the industry evolves
- Must have own laptop and valid software licenses
- Must be able to commute to the work location Monday to Friday
- Familiarity with AI content generation tools
- Photography experience

Job Type: Subcontract | Full-time hours, Mon–Fri | On-site Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.15-$20.00 per hour
