General Construction & Maintenance WorkerAbout the Role
Koning Greenhouses is hiring a general construction and maintenance technician to support commercial greenhouse repair, renovation, and build projects. Day-to-day work is hands-on and highly varied — replacing glass and polyethylene at heights, repairing walls, and handling general construction tasks across active commercial greenhouse sites. Most of the work is ongoing maintenance and repair, with occasional full build projects.
The role is autonomous: you'll often be working independently or in a small crew, solving problems on the fly and driving between job sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely at heights to replace and repair glass and polycarbonate/poly panels
- Repair and rebuild greenhouse walls and structural components
- Carry out general construction activities across commercial greenhouse renovations
- Support occasional new-build projects alongside ongoing maintenance work
- Handle glass and other sharp materials carefully; full PPE will be provided
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve independently on site with minimal supervision
- Drive between job sites as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work site
What We're Looking For
- Experience in construction (general construction, glazing, roofing, or greenhouse work an asset)
- Comfortable working at heights
- Comfortable working with sharp materials such as glass — PPE provided
- Comfortable working in hot environments
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, problem-solving on the fly
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car to travel between sites
- Local to the area
- Reliable and punctual
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
What We Provide
- Full PPE
- Steady work across a mix of maintenance and build projects
Pay: $27.50-$35.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
