Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

You will perform, using air-powered hand tools or semi-automatic equipment, the grinding of attachment points of the main landing gear components, according to specifications. These operations require a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions to accommodate other mechanical parts subsequently.

You will also be required to:

- prepare the part and, if necessary, perform assembly on the equipment
- inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
- complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
- contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and the achievement of objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries

Requirements

- High school diploma required (equivalence certificate not accepted)
- Experience in manual work with pneumatic tools in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in manual grinding is an asset
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers are also assets.
- Good manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work meticulously and accurately

Evening shift: from Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, evening, night, or weekend)

- The salary for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.
- $1.30/hr bonus
