Position Overview

CCW Ventures Ltd. is seeking motivated and safety-oriented Groundsmen and Linesmen to join our field operations team. The successful candidates will support aerial and underground fibre construction projects, working alongside experienced crews to ensure efficient and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Groundsman:

- Assist linesmen with daily construction and installation tasks
- Handle and organize tools, materials, and equipment on-site
- Support pole transfers, strand placement, and cable pulling
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform site setup as required

Linesman:

- Perform aerial fibre installation, strand placement, and lashing
- Complete pole transfers and make-ready work
- Operate bucket trucks and climbing equipment (if certified)




- Interpret construction drawings and plans
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience in telecommunications or construction is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license has/willing to get Air Brakes Endorsement (Class 3 is an asset)
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow company policies
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials
- Ability to travel away from home for extended periods of time (1-3 weeks)

Certifications considered an asset:

- First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Bucket Truck / Aerial Lift Certification
