Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hands-On Feet Support Engineer to support physical infrastructure deployment in data centers located in Lexington. The role involves rack and stack, cabling, equipment installation, and in office troubleshooting. This is a contract-based opportunity ideal for candidates with a strong technical aptitude and experience working in data center environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform rack and stack of servers, switches, and storage systems.
- Manage and execute structured cabling (fiber and copper) for all deployed devices.
- Perform labeling, cable dressing, and patch panel connectivity per data center standards.
- Unbox, inventory, and physically install IT equipment in designated racks.
- Perform basic on-site diagnostics, power cycling, or visual inspections as directed by remote teams.
- Act as "smart hands" for remote engineering teams, executing tasks as needed.




- Follow detailed installation diagrams and documentation.
- Maintain clean and organized data center spaces and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Document all work performed, including photos and reports for client records.

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience in rack and stack, data center cabling, or related infrastructure support roles.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a physical, on-site environment (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
- Good communication skills to coordinate with project managers and remote technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of basic networking and server components.
- Prior experience working with vendors
- Ability to use basic tools and equipment for installation and diagnostics.

Work Conditions:

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- May require flexible working hours depending on deployment schedules.
