We are a modular home dealership specializing in the sale, delivery, and on-site assembly of high-quality prefabricated homes. Our operations encompass transportation, installation, finishing, and after-sales service. We seek a reliable, multi-skilled handyman to support site work, lot upkeep, and customer service activities.

Position Summary The handyman performs a broad range of maintenance, repair, assembly, and finishing tasks on manufactured housing units, company lots, display models, and customer sites. The role requires versatility across carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical work, painting, drywall, and related trades. The successful candidate will deliver work that meets company quality standards, applicable building codes, and safety requirements while providing professional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general interior and exterior repairs on modular homes, including carpentry, drywall patching and finishing, painting, flooring, trim, doors, windows, cabinets, and hardware.
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs and installations (fixtures, drains, water lines) and electrical work (outlets, switches, lighting, basic troubleshooting) within authorized scope.
- Support in office installation and “button-up” activities, such as utility sealing, leveling, skirting, siding, and exterior/interior completion after home placement.
- Respond to service requests, warranty work,



and preventative-maintenance needs in a timely and thorough manner.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in safe, organized condition; follow inventory and documentation procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and customers; document work performed, materials used, and time expended.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include grounds or lot maintenance.

Qualifications

Required

- Minimum two to three years of hands-on experience in handyman services, residential construction, maintenance, or a related trade. Experience with modular, manufactured, or prefabricated housing is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with hand and power tools and competence in multiple basic trades (carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical).
- Ability to read and follow floor plans, shop drawings, work orders, and technical instructions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50–100 lbs), climb ladders, work at heights, kneel, stoop, and work in varying weather and site conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a production or field crew.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
