Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to support their independence and dignity
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication-related activities diligently
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic and safe living environment
- Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to the supervising healthcare team promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly valued
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
- Medication reminder knowledge and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for motivated applicants
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents throughout shifts
