Project Control Officer – Intermediate

Hourly Pay:
- T4 - $30.80

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Support project financial governance and controls throughout the project lifecycle across multiple technology workstreams.
- Manage and reconcile project financials, including GL reconciliation, accruals, chargebacks, invoice tracking, forecasts, and actuals vs. plan analysis.
- Maintain financial forecasts, monitor project progress, identify risks and variances, and provide commentary and recommendations.
- Prepare clear, insightful financial and status reporting for senior leadership and executive steering committees.
- Support budgeting, planning, financial tracking, compliance, resourcing, and other portfolio management activities.
- Monitor governance activities and identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Support the resource allocation governance process, helping ensure resources are appropriately allocated across technology portfolios.
- Onboard resources and provide first-line support for Eclipse, the organization's resource and project financial management tool.
- Pull, manipulate, analyze, and translate data into meaningful insights and executive-ready summaries.
- Exercise independent judgment within established procedures while managing competing priorities and changing requirements.
- Escalate financial risks, issues, variances, and action items appropriately and ensure follow-up through resolution.
- Collaborate daily with the immediate team and key stakeholders, including senior leaders across supported technology portfolios.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Project Control Officer, Senior IT Project Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or similar technology/project controls role.
- Proven experience managing project or program financials, including GL reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, accruals, actuals vs. plan, variance analysis, invoice management, and financial governance.
- Experience working with data, including extracting, manipulating, analyzing, and presenting information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues and opportunities.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and turn data into clear, impactful business insights and stories.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience within major financial institution.
- Experience with GL reconciliation.
- Experience using Eclipse for resource or project financial management.
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Project skills.
- Experience with Jira, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Experience supporting technology portfolios or large-scale programs.

Contract Details

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; flexible
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Core Office Days: Every Monday, first Friday of each month, and additional days as required by management
