Job Summary

Hawkk HR is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Kamloops, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure secure and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with diesel engines, brakes, suspension systems, and preventative maintenance is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

- Perform inspections and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
- Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks
- Identify mechanical issues and recommend solutions
- Maintain accurate service and repair records




- Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards

Requirements

- Previous experience as a mechanic or heavy-duty mechanic
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Red Seal certification or apprenticeship experience is an asset
