We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Journeyman Technician to perform mechanical repair, maintenance, and diagnostics on trucks and trailers. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform CVIP inspections and related maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical issues
- Repair, maintain, and adjust mechanical components
- Complete written and verbal work orders accurately and efficiently
- Repair and adjust truck drivetrains, engines, and other mechanical systems
- Diagnose and assess the nature and extent of required repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
- Perform other mechanical repair duties as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of college or vocational technical training in Heavy Duty Mechanics or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Duty Technician/Mechanic, with robust knowledge of drivetrains, air systems, schematics, and diagnostics
- Valid driver's license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical systems efficiently
