Overview

We are a small, locally owned construction company looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator. The majority of our work is located near Almonte and surrounding areas. Work is Monday-Friday, full-time and seasonal.

The position involves operating newer, well-maintained equipment on a variety of excavation and site work projects.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as 25 ton excavators with rototilt, mid sized excavators with rototilt, skid steers, and backhoes with precision and safety awareness.
- Excavation, grading, trenching, site clearing, site preparation, material handling, general site work, loading trucks, and other excavation and construction related work.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment for floating.




- Work well as a part of a team or independently

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, or backhoes in a commercial or residential setting.
- Ability to grade accurately and work efficiently.
- Valid drivers license (AZ or DZ considered an asset)
- Knowledge and experience as a dump truck driver or floating equipment between sites, would be highly desirable.
- Ability to inspect, maintain and care for equipment.
- Robust understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and site work environments.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
