Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools serves a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Fairview, and Sexsmith. We are a team of 600 staff who provide quality teaching and learning experiences for approximately 5500 students.
Position Overview
Starting in August 2026, the initial placement will be at a grade 9 – 12 school serving approximately 600+ students. The school leadership team requires a strong team player who is creative, committed to excellence, and will embrace continuous improvement for all. A proven track record of working collaboratively with school staff, students, community, and other educational partners is critical.
Ideal Candidate Qualities The individual will have knowledge of and/or experience in educational leadership, community building, & Faith permeation at the high school level. The position requires an educational leader who embraces innovation and change, is positive, has strong interpersonal relationships,
respects staff & students, and is community minded. The candidate will have a strong commitment to the goals of Catholic Education including active participation in a local Catholic Parish.
The individual will use research and data to guide decisions, ensuring that staff's primary goal is to meet the needs of all students.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in education (or in progress)
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Evidence of a successful teaching experience at the high school level
