Position Summary

Family Services of Central Alberta (FSCA) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Home Support Worker.

The Home Support

Worker provides practical in-home support services that enable clients to maintain their independence, health, and quality of life within their own homes and communities. Working in collaboration with the Manager and Scheduler, this position assists individuals with daily living activities such as housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and community connections.

The Home Support

Worker supports a diverse caseload of clients, including older adults and individuals with varying abilities, while fostering positive relationships and providing meaningful social connection. This role also helps identify client needs and connects individuals with appropriate community resources when required. Successful candidates are compassionate, reliable, and client-focused, with the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain accurate documentation while upholding the values and mission of Family Services of Central Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide basic housekeeping and laundry support for clients in their homes
- Assist with meal preparation
- Support a caseload of individuals with varying abilities, including older adults
- Provide social contact and companionship to isolated clients
- Connect clients with appropriate community resources when needed
- Maintain effective communication with clients, scheduling staff, and management
- Complete and submit required documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

What We’re Looking For:

- A caring, dependable, and client-focused approach to service delivery
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to work respectfully with people of diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Welfare Check
- Willingness to complete required training modules upon hire

Pay: $16.39-$17.56 per hour
