Engage in significant research work with Charles River as an Animal Health Technician in the Necropsy Team in Senneville. Your contributions will ensure the ethical treatment and examination of animal subjects.
As a permanent full time technician, your main responsibility involves conducting post-mortem evaluations while following strict ethical guidelines. Collaborating with pathologists, you will document findings and maintain high standards in animal welfare within pre-clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough necropsies on animal specimens • Evaluate and document organ abnormalities • Euthanize animals prior to examination as required • Assist pathologists in tissue evaluation • Ensure compliance with ethical regulations and study plans
Requirements: • Collegial Diploma or Bachelor's in Animal Science/Biology • Experience in dissection is a benefit • Detail-oriented, team-oriented mindset • Capable of lifting 20 kg and physical tasks • Proficiency in English; bilingual in French preferred
