Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will operate specialized hydrovac excavation equipment to safely and efficiently expose underground utilities, perform trenching, and assist in various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure site safety, precision, and productivity while adhering to all safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

- Operate hydrovac trucks and related heavy equipment with precision, ensuring safe excavation practices at all times
- Perform excavation tasks by using high-pressure water jets and vacuum systems to expose underground utilities or clear areas for construction
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and crew members to coordinate excavation activities and meet project deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and site cleanup after excavation tasks are completed
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including daily logs, inspection reports,



and safety documentation

Requirements

- Proven experience operating hydrovac trucks or similar heavy equipment in a construction environment
- Robust mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers
- Ability to operate additional equipment including bulldozers (dozer), loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and horizontal drilling machinery
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record for operating large trucks safely on public roads
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is highly desirable
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems related to heavy machinery operation
- Construction experience involving underground utility installation or excavation preferred
