Position Summary

Division 26 Inc. is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Hydrovac Swamper to support hydrovac operations on industrial and civil projects throughout Fort McMurray and surrounding areas.

The Hydrovac Swamper works directly with the Hydrovac Operator to ensure safe daylighting, trenching, and excavation support activities. This is a physically demanding role requiring strong safety awareness, teamwork, and the ability to work in high-compliance industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist Hydrovac Operator during excavation and daylighting operations
- Handle vacuum hoses and pressure wands safely and efficiently
- Maintain clear communication with operator and spotters
- Identify and protect exposed utilities
- Set up barricades, signage, and exclusion zones
- Complete FLHAs and site safety documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with truck clean-out and debris disposal




- Perform general labour duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (clean abstract required)
- CSTS 2020
- H2S Alive
- Ground Disturbance Level II (preferred; training may be provided)
- Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (preferred)
- Oil sands site experience considered an asset
- Ability to pass pre-access drug & alcohol testing

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $28.64-$32.88 per hour
