We are currently accepting applications for a Meat Manager to lead the planning, operations, and performance of our Meat Department.Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Meat Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and success of the Meat Department. This includes delivering exceptional guest service, achieving financial and operational targets, maintaining food safety and merchandising standards, and leading, developing, and engaging a high‑performing team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day‑to‑day operations of the Meat Department, including production, merchandising, inventory, and food safetyAchieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventoryRecruit, train, coach, and develop team members, fostering a positive and engaged work environmentEnsure compliance with food safety, workplace health & safety, and company policiesDeliver legendary guest service and maintain high department presentation standardsCollaborate with store leadership and support continuous improvement initiativesAct as a brand ambassador,
living the Co‑op values in all interactionsWho Are YouYou are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and have:Retail Meat Cutting Certificate and/or 3–6 years of relevant retail experienceMinimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a meat departmentAt least 1 year of hands‑on meat cutting experience (meat processing certification is an asset)Strong knowledge of retail meat operations and food safety requirementsProven leadership, coaching, and employee engagement skillsExcellent organization, communication, and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment with integrity and professionalismCo mpetent in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, and customer‑focused environmentA results‑driven and continuous improvement mindset, focused on operational excellence and customer satisfactionDemonstrate the Co‑op values of customer focused, builds awesome teams, and communicates effectively in every aspect of workWorking ConditionsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsWork in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers regularlyAvailability to work evenings, weekends,
