Independent Associate Counsellor | Private Practice Opportunity

Ginger Henderson Counselling Services is seeking an independent associate counsellor who would like to build or expand their private practice within an established counselling clinic in Victoria.

This opportunity is suited to a counsellor who wants the benefits of a furnished professional office, clinic affiliation and increased visibility while continuing to manage their own independent practice.

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried or hourly employment position.

Available office times

Recurring shifts are currently available on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Morning shifts may begin at the associate’s preferred time and continue until 2:00 p.m. Afternoon and evening shifts begin at 2:00 p.m. The associate is not required to remain at the office when no client is scheduled.

Financial arrangement For the first six months, the associate retains 70% of the professional fees they collect and pays GHCS a 30% Associate Practice Fee, plus applicable GST.

The associate sets their own fees, collects payments directly from clients and manages their own scheduling, intake, records,



receipts and practice-management system.

The arrangement will be reviewed before the end of the initial six-month period, with the possibility of moving to an agreed fixed monthly fee.

Clients remain with the associate The associate is responsible for their own clinical work, records and continuity of care. If the association later ends, clients may continue working with the associate, subject to client choice and appropriate transition planning.

Qualifications

Applicants must

- Hold an appropriate counselling designation and be in good standing with a recognized professional association
- Carry qualified liability insurance
- Maintain appropriate clinical supervision or consultation
- Use a secure practice-management and recordkeeping system
- Have, or be willing to obtain, a current criminal-record check
- Be comfortable independently managing their practice administration

Both established counsellors and newer practitioners developing a private practice are welcome to apply.

Pay: $90.00-$140.00 per hour
