Role: Integration Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON Canada (Onsite)

Relevant Experience: 7+ Years

Hands-on Integration Engineer (Senior / Lead level) to build low-latency backend APIs, real-time message streams, and automated data pipelines. The ideal candidate must excel in Python, REST APIs, Cloud (specifically Microsoft Azure), and modern Database architectures .

Core Technical Stack (Must-Haves)

· Python Backend Mastery: Look for 5+ years of experience in core Python using asynchronous frameworks like FastAPI or AsyncIO (Django REST/Flask are also positive, but async experience is preferred).

· API Design & Standards: Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs , implementing OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, and managing authentication standards ( OAuth 2.0 / JWT ).

· Databases (SQL & NoSQL): Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL plus NoSQL document stores (such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Azure Cosmos DB ).

· Cloud Platform (Azure Preferred): Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Functions,



Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure DevOps) or strong AWS serverless experience.

· Containerization & DevOps: Practical experience with Docker containers and basic CI/CD pipeline automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).

High-Value Differentiators (Bonus Points)

· Event Streaming & Messaging: Hands-on experience with message brokers like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebSockets, or Azure Service Bus .

· Data Transformation & Processing: Knowledge of data parsing using Pandas, PySpark, or NumPy , or experience mapping legacy payload formats (e.g., JSON, XML, XSLT, EDI).

· Platform Monitoring & Observability: Exposure to application monitoring and distributed tracing tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry ).
