Job Summary The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient availability of concrete forming materials used for supply rentals. This role monitors stock levels, tracks all inbound and outbound items, verifies condition and specifications, coordinates with warehouse/operations teams, and supports timely fulfillment of customer and project needs.
The Inventory
Specialist helps prevent losses, mismatches, and delays by performing regular audits, maintaining proper storage practices, and ensuring all transactions are properly documented
Duties
- Inventory Specialist
- Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records for all formwork, shoring, accessories, and related equipment.
- Coordinate inventory receiving, shipping, transfers, returns, and equipment movements between yards, projects, and branches.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment quantities, condition, location, and availability.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and company records.
- Establish and maintain procedures for tracking missing, damaged, or unreturned equipment.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, Shipping/Receiving, and Project Management to ensure equipment availability and proper allocation.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess inventory, and equipment requiring repair or refurbishment.
- Ensure all equipment is properly identified, tagged, and stored in an organized manner.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management, including inventory value, shortages, damaged equipment, and outstanding returns.
- Assist with maintaining accurate equipment costing and inventory valuation records.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse/inventory experience (preferred), especially with construction materials or equipment rentals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile physical counts with system records.
- Knowledge of basic material types/specifications used in concrete forming (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the rental forming industry is an asset.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Clear communication and documentation practices.
Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
