to support customer quoting and product costing for an established manufacturing operation. This role works closely with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing and Sales to develop accurate and competitive customer quotations. Responsibilities
Review RFQs, drawings and customer specifications.
Develop cost estimates based on materials, labour, tooling and manufacturing requirements.
Prepare customer quotations and ensure RFQs are completed on time.
Work with internal teams to understand production requirements and key cost drivers.
Obtain and evaluate supplier pricing for materials, components and outside services.
Maintain costing and quotation information and update pricing as manufacturing costs change.
Support pricing reviews and identify opportunities to improve the estimating process.
Qualifications
2–4+ years of experience in
estimating, costing, quoting, pricing or sales support within manufacturing .
Diploma or degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field preferred.
Ability to understand engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Familiarity with machining, fabrication, assembly, metal forming or similar manufacturing processes is an asset.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel; SAP or Salesforce experience is beneficial.
Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
