THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate person to help assist us with custodial and cleaning support in order to help keep operations running smoothly and in a professional and presentable manner. The selected candidate will work closely with staff to ensure clean practices, presentable facility amenities and working environment.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Janitor candidates should have a minimum 1-year experience working in a cleaning or janitorial role. Experience working in a gym or fitness facility is a plus!
The selected candidate must have reliable transportation and be comfortable using basic cleaning products, equipment and supplies. The selected candidate should be comfortable standing for extended periods of time and be able to lift 50 lbs.
COMPENSATION
Expected hours are 8-10 hours per week. Additional hours may be available as needed by the company. Starting wage is $17.95/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness to uphold a professional and hygienic gym environment. General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Vacuum turf.
- Vacuum front lobby.
- Clean sinks, toilets, and shower areas.
- Dust gym equipment.
- Wipe walls, doors, railings, baseboards and trim.
- Pick-up garbage and empty garbage cans.
- Vacuum all offices and treatment rooms.
- Wipe down office desks.
- Check and replace supplies in washrooms as needed such as toilet paper, paper towels, towels and soap.
- Do dishes and return them to the boardroom.
- Gather supplies needed to perform job duties such as cleaning solutions, water, rags and spray bottles.
- Ensure that all laundry items are washed, dried and folded and fully stocked in change rooms.
- Ensure the facility is clean and ready for daily operations.
- List supplies needed as they run out.
- Attend staff meetings on request.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or higher
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a custodial or cleaning role
- Experience working in a gym or fitness facility is a plus
- Great attention to detail
- Able to complete tasks independently
- Able to self-organize workload and tasks
- Must be currently able to legally work in Canada
