Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Lead Hand to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. As the Janitorial Lead Hand, you will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for employees, visitors, and clients. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of janitorial staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring optimal performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cleaning schedules for all areas of the facility.
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and order necessary materials to ensure the team has the resources needed to perform their duties.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Perform regular inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and address any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule cleaning and maintenance work without disrupting regular business operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning-related concerns or requests from staff and visitors.
- Track and report on janitorial staff performance, including productivity and quality metrics.
- Develop and manage the janitorial budget,
ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and staff performance reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in janitorial services or facility management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for workplace safety.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in janitorial or facility management.
- Experience with budget management and cost control.
- Prior experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
