Stevens & Associates Millwork Ltd. is looking for Journeyperson Cabinet Maker to join our team.
Job Descriptions:
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications
- Trim joints and fit parts together, sand wooden surfaces and apply stain to finished products
- Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines including table saws, sanders, routers, CNC machines to cut, shape and form parts
- Machine components for cabinets, furniture and other items
- Laminate cabinet & furniture components and prepare & apply veneers
- Prepare and apply laminated plastics, metal laminates, solid surfaces
- Must have installation experience with installing millwork items.
- Design and make templates, jigs and fixtures for production of millwork and other products
- Assemble millwork products such as reception desks, Install cabinets and custom woodworking at job sites
- Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, prepare QC parameters and maintain clean & safe work environment
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Trade certification/ Red Seal: Cabinetmaker
- Area of specialization: Cabinets, Doors and Door Frames, Custom millwork
- Minimum 5 years experience in Architectural Millwork and commercial cabinet industry
- Ability to read and completely understand architectural construction and drawings.
- Must display a high degree of manual dexterity, hand eye coordination and have hand tool knowledge.
- Must have strong math skills, focus and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have complete knowledge of millwork assembly and joinery techniques.
- Must be familiar with standard millwork hardware installation, operation and adjustments
- Must speak fluent English and understand imperial and metric measurement systems
- Must be an experienced cabinetmaker with a 4th year certification with the ability to construct and fabricate custom components or equivalent experience

- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs
- Non-smoking environment
- Steel-toed safety boots
- Must possess hand tools (power tools provided by Company)
- Preferred but not mandatory: Candidate have a valid driver’s license for transportation
Wages and Perks: Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wages: $25.50 - $32.00 per hour with overtime pay
Benefits: Casual dress, 100% paid extended health care including Dental & Vision Care after 30 days, company events and on-site parking
Schedule: 8 hours shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) with overtime and weekends as needed
