Job Overview The Journeyman Millwright position at Quality Millwright & Machine Services (QMMS) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial systems and equipment. This role requires applying specialized trade skills to ensure efficient and high-quality project completion, as well as supervising small teams to maintain productivity and adherence to safety standards. Collaboration with subcontractors, clients, and team members is essential to achieve seamless operations and excellent service delivery.

Duties

- Responsible for ensuring that ongoing technical and safety training requirements are met to maintain competency and proficiency.
- Responsible for making informed decisions and communicating with stakeholders to provide guidance and direction.
- Responsible for executing assigned tasks, including communicating with all stakeholders throughout the job, to ensure successful operations.




- Responsible for completing all required paperwork (including but not limited to work order; sales order; inspection forms; safety compliance documentation etc.) to ensure that ongoing work activities are executed consistently, and a complete record is made as per company standards.

Requirements

- Education: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a Tradesperson; Journeyman certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development.
