Position: Full-Time Journeyman Welder 2nd Year Apprentice

Smart-Vac is looking for an experienced Journeyman Welder and 2nd Year Apprentice to join our team in Lacombe, Alberta.

We’re looking for someone who is local to Lacombe, dependable tradesperson who can fabricate debris tanks and other components to support a SmartVac. One who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work safely and efficiently in a productive environment.

What We’re Looking For

- Journeyman Welder certification or equivalent experience
- Physically fit
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Experience in plasma cutting, stick weld, aluminum weld, cutting torch
- Be able to work in confined spaces and heights
- Experience with keeping track of inventory
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Experience with shop fabrication, strong attention to detail and quality control




- Maturity, professionalism and can deliver with confidence
- Reliable, on time and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have own transportation
